LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Heather Hare, a former high school teacher, has been sentenced to 13 years in a federal sexual assault case, along with 20 years to be served concurrently, in a Saline County Circuit Court sexual assault case. According to a news release from the Eastern District of Arkansas, Hare taught Family Consumer Science classes at Bryant High School. After meeting the minor victim in their senior year, she gave them one-on-one counseling sessions, leading to giving them her personal phone number and maintaining contact on social media sites like Instagram and Snapchat.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | More information about the fatal crash has been released. According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to the multi-vehicle accident at 12:27 a.m. to find a man trapped under a van in the northbound lanes. Police say that the man, identified as 41-year-old Joseph Biswa, was unconscious but breathing. Upon further investigation, police found that Biswa had been in an accident with another vehicle that left his car unable to be driven and blocking the southbound lanes.
Officials at Oakland Church in Johnstown say they left the United Methodist denomination in favor of the Global Methodist Church last year. Senior Pastor Randall Bain says that differences in the United Methodist Denomination existed since the 1970s. He says conflict existed between the more conservative and progressive branches of the church. Bain explains, “Conservatives would want to interpret the Bible more literally and count the scriptures as the word of God, and really, we would want to be impacted by what that says.
VILLA RICA, Ga. (AP) — Three Georgia police officers were shot and wounded as they pursued two brothers from Alabama in a high-speed chase that ended early Monday with one brother shot and killed and the other in custody, authorities said. A Georgia State Patrol trooper clocked a Nissan Sentra going 111 mph (179 kph) on Interstate 20 and initiated a traffic stop around 3:30 a.m., Georgia State Patrol Capt. Brandon Dawson said.
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. — A Centre County man is behind bars after sexually assaulting a child earlier this year, Pennsylvania State Police say. According to a criminal complaint, a Centre County CYS caseworker contacted state police to report a suspected sexual assault of a one-year-old female. State police say they arrived at Geisinger Medical Center and conducted interviews with the victim's family. The criminal complaint states that the victim's relative and Andrew Ramage, 26, came home from a birthday party the day before when the victim's relative noticed blood and skin irritation as she was changing the victim's diaper.

SOMERSET - The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is speaking out after dozens of dead fish were found floating in the water at Somerset Lake two weeks after a fish salvage. The fish salvage happened on Oct.24 in preparation to completely drain the lake and make repairs to the dam and spillway. On Wednesday, a resident sent 6 News a picture of what appears to be dozens of fish piled up on shore at the lake.
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WLUK) -- The mother of a 12-year-old girl has been charged with trafficking her and failure to prevent a sexual assault, while the man who allegedly paid the mother for access to the girl faces sexual assault, false imprisonment and child enticement charges. Elia Antonio, 33, and Juan Rocha Mejia, 31, made initial court appearances Wednesday in Fond du Lac. In both cases, bond was set $1 million cash.
