BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — A woman was injured in a bear attack while letting her dog outside, and Pennsylvania game commission employees killed the mother bear and tranquilized her three yearling cubs, authorities said. Butler Township police said the 55-year-old woman was attacked after letting her dog out behind her home Tuesday night. She was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital and then Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of injuries to her arm, face, neck and head.

So, WJAC-TV decided to take a look back at the Pittsburgh Steelers' May 2004 mini camp--the first practices for rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Earlier in the spring, the Steelers selected Roethlisberger with the 11th overall pick in the NFL Draft. He came to Pittsburgh as a bright-eyed rookie. CENTRE COUNTY, Pa — Concern is growing in Centre County after several reported sightings of a fox in Ferguson Township. The fox has been spotted near West College Avenue between Blue Course Drive and Corl Street. "We've received several calls from folks throughout Ferguson Township about some foxes that have been sighted that appear to be injured and or sick," said Pennsylvania Game Warden Mike Steingraber also said he has seen pictures of the fox but hasn't seen it in person yet.

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Plans to demolish Hometown Bar & Grill on Scalp Ave. and bring a Kentucky Fried Chicken back to the township are moving forward, according to documents filed with the Zoning and Hearing Board. Ampex Brands filed what’s called a variance application. It’s essentially a request for an exception from township zoning rules. The company wants to build the KFC in the same location as Hometown, but one of the walls is too close to a side street.
(TND) — Police have started removing barricades at demonstrators’ encampment on the campus of UCLA after an hourslong standoff. Law enforcement began clearing the encampment after hours threatening to arrest people who did not disperse over loud speakers. There were hundreds of people gathered on UCLA's campus in the encampment and the surrounding area in support of it. The sound of flash bangs could be heard as police moved in. Officers began ripping down the makeshift barricades protesters built with plywood, pallets, dumpsters and other materials used in an effort to keep police out.
