OCALA, Fla. (TND) — The driver of a pickup truck that crashed into a bus in Florida, killing eight people, told authorities he smoked marijuana oil and took prescription drugs hours before the collision, according to an arrest report. Bryan Maclean Howard, 41, who has an extensive record of arrests, appeared in court Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty to eight counts of driving under the influence-manslaughter and was denied bond. The National Desk obtained the arrest report, with troopers noting Maclean Howard had bloodshot and watery eyes.

EVERETT – UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital responded Thursday morning to a Pennsylvania Department of Health citation that said staff members at the medical center took cellphone photos and videos of a patient being treated for a "foreign body" lodged in their genitals in December.
The hospital network self-reported the violations.
“UPMC is committed to ensuring that our patients’ health information remains confidential,” Patt Keith of UMPC Media Relations said in a statement.

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Volunteers in Clearfield County are working to give a dog, who was recently found neglected and abused, new hope.
Officials say a volunteer with the organization “Animals Matter” found "Duke" laying on the road in the Grampian/Mahaffey area on Black Friday.
Volunteers say the dog was found with a hole in his head and an injured ear and jaw.
When volunteers brought "Duke" to the hospital, they say it was determined that his breathing problem was caused by his mouth being tied shut with shoelaces.
ELK COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Elk County coroner Michelle Muccio-Krise has identified the victims of Saturday's deadly fire at a home in Saint Marys.
Officials say Donald and Susan Mahovlich, who were both in their late 60s, reportedly died from smoke inhalation.
Emergency officials say crews were dispatched to the blaze, located along Jackson Road, around 8:15 a.m. Saturday.
Officials with the Crystal Fire Department said the house was fully involved by the time crews arrived on scene and stated that the roof later began to collapse.
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A man was arrested after an explosive was found in a bag checked onto a Florida-bound flight at an eastern Pennsylvania airport, federal authorities said.
Marc Muffley, 40, is charged with possessing an explosive in an airport and possessing or attempting to place an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft, according to a criminal complaint.
Prosecutors allege that the material was found in a suitcase Muffley had checked in Monday at Lehigh Valley International Airport to Allegiant Air Flight 201, which was bound for Orlando Sanford International Airport in Florida.
ROARING SPRING, Pa. (WJAC) — UPDATE: According to police, the man who died in an officer-involved shooting Friday has been identified.
State police said in a release that 49-year-old Todd Messner from Three Springs died after police say he turned toward officers while displaying a firearm, resulting in police action. An autopsy is being completed Saturday and police say more information will be released when it becomes available. UPDATE: State police say one man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Roaring Spring Friday.
A second suspect was identified in connection to the murder of a 16-year-old high school student from Maryland who went missing more than 50 years ago, according to authorities. The Anne Arundel County Police Department on Monday announced Donald Willard as the second suspect in the death of Pamela Lynn Conyers. The news comes about a year after authorities identified the first suspect as Forrest Clyde Williams III. The men are both dead, said police, with Willard dying in 2010, and Williams dying in 2018.

Cambria County, PA — Weeks after the lower level of the Johnstown Galleria flooded, vendors are recovering. Some new ones are in negotiations to start operating at the mall too.
“We got a lot of stores that have come over here. So pretty much, I say I got like 24 leases, from October to now.” says the malls owner, Leo Karruli.
Some of those vendors are not limited to a new creamery, boutique, and skating rink.
