LOS ANGELES (TND) — Police in California warned residents about hidden cameras being placed in neighborhoods that are helping burglars make their next move. Authorities said burglars are planting cameras so they can time out when to break into residences.
A photo of a camera wrapped in leaves, so it could blend in with shrubbery, was found in a flower bed. The resident turned in the camera and battery pack into the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect, 35-year-old Duwane Edward Gilmore of Leesburg, surprisingly has two other bank robbery arrests from 2014 and is now held with no bond for the Wednesday incidents. Around 1:15 p.m., Seminole County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies responded to calls of an attempted robbery at a SeaCoast Bank in Altamonte Springs.

A Spirit Airlines flight returned safely to Montego Bay, Jamaica Sunday after a suspected mechanical issue caused panic and confusion inside the cabin. According to CNN, passengers were told to prepare for a water landing shortly after the aircraft diverted from its path to Florida.
The airline said in a statement that reversing course was "out of an abundance of caution following a suspected mechanical issue." After being deplaned, passengers were put on a different plane to reach their destination safely.
Altoona, PA (WJAC) — Altoona police say two teens are facing arson charges after reportedly setting fire to a wooded area near Garfield Park Tuesday afternoon.
Police say crews were dispatched to the 1100 block of 25th Street after a State Parole agent witnessed the two teens start the fire and flee the scene.
Investigators say the fire "spread rapidly" and burned an area the approximate size of a football field.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) -- A robbery arrest earlier this month has led city police to a child pornography and prostitution ring, according to court documents.
Among other counts, Amy Brosch faces charges of child pornography, sexual exploitation of children, and corruption of minors. Police allege she assisted in arranging a child pornography and prostitution business.
In early June, Altoona police arrested 30 year-old Stephen Apostolu for using a box cutter and a buck knife to rob his roommate on 3rd Avenue, court documents said.
