The MLB Draft League may be new, but after a whopping 39 players from across the league were selected in the draft, it can no longer be deemed unproven.

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WJAC) — The former director of a Pennsylvania funeral home allegedly stole nearly $900,000 from customers who thought they were pre-paying for the burial of family members. William O'Leary, of Upper Darby, allegedly took the money over a period of several years while he ran the O'Leary Funeral Home in Springfield. His live-in girlfriend, Mary Alice Kelly, who once worked at the funeral home, was also charged in the scheme.
ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with PA CareerLink announced that due to the ongoing flood remediation at the Altoona Public Library, a temporary CareerLink site will open at the Downtown Altoona Transportation Center, beginning on Monday, Feb. 1. “With so many people out of work, many are looking to the future. They come to CareerLink asking for no-cost assistance with their job searches and personal coaching – and they often need some connections to community resources that can help get them on their feet,” says Gwen Fisher, PA CareerLink Site Administrator.
PHILADELPHIA (CNN) — In Philadelphia, a medical history museum is wondering who sent them a package that appeared to have two preserved fetuses inside. The museum received the package on Tuesday and now police are investigating. "I’ve been here for almost twenty years, and I don't recall a situation like this,” said the museum’s curator, Anna Dhody. Dhody says she has seen a lot in her time as the curator of the Mutter Museum, an institution that showcases medical history, and has more than 20-thousand unusual specimens.
DuBois, PA — The Director of the DuBois Public Library says COVID-19 has impacted how the library operates and with statewide budget cuts, she isn't sure how much funding the library will receive next year. Rebecca McTavish, Director of DuBois Public Library said the library is running on it's normal pre-COVID-19 hours with more precautions in place. "If you pull lots of stuff please set it aside so we can wipe it before we put it back on the shelf, books that are returned to the library do get quarantined for six to seven days,"
UPDATE |Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick Kenny Pickett has officially been promoted to the team's starting quarterback job. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport first alluded to the promotion Monday, Tweeting that the Steelers were expected to elevate Pickett to the role. According to the team's updated depth chart, Pickett is now listed as QB1. Pickett's first start is now scheduled for Sunday as Pittsburgh (1-3) travels to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
BEDFORD, Pa. (WJAC) — The 146th Bedford County fair is happening through July 27. Admission includes rides, exhibits and grandstand shows the fair has to offer. The midway opens each day at 2:30 p.m. and shuts down for a safety check at 5 p.m., then opens back up until 10 p.m. Wednesday’s events feature bull ride mania rides from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. A demolition derby is taking place Thursday, and Friday is the day for fast car racing.
Altoona, PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Blair County are asking for the public's help in identifying three men who were reportedly involved in a "shooting" incident outside an Altoona strip club in August. Police say the incident reportedly occurred around 3 a.m., on Aug. 28, at the Palace Night Club, located along Union Ave. Investigators say the incident reportedly began as a physical altercation inside the club and escalated to a "
