Chester, PA — Authorities say two children were struck and killed by an Amtrak train Saturday afternoon in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Amtrak officials confirmed a train heading from New York to Washington D.C. had 368 passengers on board when it came into contact with two people who were trespassing on the tracks around 4:30 p.m.
One witness said there were at least half a dozen kids walking on the tracks before the incident took place.
TAMPA, Fla. (TND) — Authorities say they stopped part of a theft ring that involved selling brand new appliances stolen from new construction homes in Florida.
Those homes were in five counties, and three men were arrested — accused of buying the appliances and reselling them in two makeshift showrooms: a house and a storage facility, in and around Tampa.
Detectives said one of the suspects had even been “publishing the stolen appliances for sale online.
