TYRONE, Pa (WJAC) — Tyrone police say a teenager is being charged as an adult for reportedly stabbing a 26-year-old man Tuesday afternoon, according to a criminal complaint.
Police say on Tuesday, around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute at a home along the 600 block of Washington Ave. in Tyrone.
Authorities say responding officers were approached by 17-year-old Joshua Riggleman, who admitted to police that he had stabbed the man.
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas has spent a lot of time inside the courtrooms of the Somerset County Courthouse.
But Friday, he was in the defense chair as the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office moved to take over the rape case against him.
The judge made that part official in the brief hearing Friday afternoon.
Thomas, through his attorney, also confirmed Friday that he will be taking a temporary leave of absence while the case plays out.
BROOKVILLE -- The president of the Brookville Area Little League in Jefferson County faces drug charges for smoking marijuana.
Craig Griffin, 37, of Oak Street, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brookville police said Griffin was seen by an officer on March 21 leaving Dirty Ehrma's Cornerside Tavern and retrieving an item from his vehicle before he lit a pipe.
The officer said he smelled marijuana when he approached Griffin, who apologized for smoking it.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Plans for a new outdoor performing arts venue in Centre County are off to a great start as developers predict the venue will hit the right note in being a catalyst for other future projects.
“It’s just my belief, and others believe, that Bellefonte has always had a strong history for promoting the performing arts.”
Now, the believers here are developing this project, the “Stage at Talleyrand,” envisioned as an outdoor, multi-functioning venue in Bellefonte’s Talleyrand Park that could host performing artists and other events from across Centre County.

PITTSBURGH, Pa (WJAC) — Get-Go is now offering contactless delivery and curbside pickup of made-to-order menu items.
A Get-Go spokesperson says people can place their order through the DoorDash app and website.
Deliveries will be free from a guest's first purchase of $15 or more, from April 30th to May 13th.
After placing the order, customers are asked to call the phone number included in the order confirmation email.
A Get-Go member will then bring out the order to the customer's car.
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — A Claysburg man accused of raping a young girl in her sleep, and filming said act, has been convicted in Blair County court following a weeklong trial-by-judge.
Online court records show that Richard Sensibaugh, now age 37, was found guilty on most of the charges he faced, which include rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault, photographing/filming sex acts and child pornography. Sensibaugh was arrested in April of 2021 following a state police investigation into an alleged rape of a 5-year-old girl.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A new superintendent has been named in the Greater Johnstown School District. It's the first permanent superintendent since November 2016.
It was a unanimous decision to appoint current Assistant Superintendent Amy Arcurio to the position. She replaces substitute Superintendent Frank Frontino.
The Greater Johnstown School District has had substitute superintendents since November 2016, when then-Superintendent James Cekada went on paid sabbatical leave.
After his retirement this summer, Frontino was appointed substitute superintendent and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association led the search for a permanent leader.
DAYTON, Ohio (WKRC) - A billionaire from Dayton, Ohio is planning on taking a sub to the Titanic site to prove a point.
According to The New York Post, Dayton real estate investor Larry Connor said he and Triton Submarines co-founder Patrick Lahey will take a two-man submersible to the wreck of the Titanic to prove the industry is much safer in the wake of the tragic OceanGate implosion. “I want to show people worldwide that while the ocean is extremely powerful, it can be wonderful and enjoyable and really kind of life-changing if you go about it the right way,” Connor told reporters with the Wall Street Journal.
